Bridal Makeup Services – Becky Downton

Minimum Booking Requirement

• For standard wedding day bookings, a minimum of the bride plus two additional people (e.g., bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, or Maid of Honor) is required.

• Bride-only option: If you prefer to book makeup for the bride only, this is available with an additional £50 surcharge

Travel & Accommodation

• Travel expenses: 10 miles total travel is included per appointment. Distances over 10 miles from CT11 are charged at 45p per mile.

• Journeys over 1 hour 30 minutes will incur an additional £10 per 30 minutes.

• Congestion charges and parking fees are the responsibility of the client.

• For weddings requiring over 2.5 hours of travel (one-way), overnight accommodation is required the night before the wedding day.

• Accommodation surcharge: £150.

• Travel charges apply to both the trial and wedding day.

Consultation Venue

• Bridal consultations are carried out at your home unless agreed otherwise.

Consultations & Trials

• A bridal consultation is required and will take place 3–6 months before the wedding.

• Consultations for bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, or Maid of Honor are optional.

• Bridesmaids’/party member trials are booked on a separate day to the bride’s trial.

• Consultation and trial appointments are paid for on the day they take place.

Surcharges & Additional Fees

• Assistant artist: £100 surcharge applies if required for larger bookings.

• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £50 surcharge applies.

• Early morning bookings (before 7:30am): £30 surcharge.

• Trials on Saturdays during peak season (1st May – 31st October): £20 surcharge.

Securing Your Date & Payment Terms

• A £50 non-refundable deposit is required within 4 days of your booking enquiry (payable via BACS or cash) to secure your wedding date.

• The deposit is deducted from your wedding day fee.

• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding day.

• Bookings made within 3 weeks of the wedding date require full payment at the consultation.

• If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit retained.

Cancellations & Changes

• Cancellation by Becky: Any payments made by the client will be refunded in full. In emergencies, I will try to find a recommended replacement artist.

• Cancellation by client: Deposits are non-refundable.

• Full cancellations within 28 days of the wedding: 30% of the final balance still payable.

• Full cancellations within 7 days of the booking: full balance still payable.

• If members of the bridal party cancel less than 4 weeks prior, a 30% surcharge of their quoted cost applies.

• Consultation bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice: £30 surcharge (waiver at my discretion).

 

On the Wedding Day

• I will arrive at your agreed location with sufficient time to carry out all makeup applications in a calm, professional manner.

• Please ensure a suitable space with good lighting, seating, and access to power sockets is available.

Client Responsibility

• It is the client’s responsibility to inform me of any known allergies or skin sensitivities.

• If any bridal party members have contagious skin infections, treatment will be refused.

Liability

• Becky Downton Makeup is public liability insured via Salon Gold.

• I am not responsible for any suppliers or third-party services recommended.

Agreement

• By paying the deposit, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
